    Abstract:

Gut hormones are a large class of polypeptides and amines secreted by enteroendocrine cells (EECs), which play an important role in appetite regulation, gastrointestinal motility, digestive enzyme secretion, and blood pressure and glycemic control. The secretion of gut hormones is regulated by dietary factors, and food-derived bioactive peptides (FBPs) are one of the important dietary factors regulating the secretion of gut hormones. This study reviewed the research progress and action mechanisms of FBPs regulating gut hormones secretion in recent years. In addition, the future research directions were prospected to provide reference for the research and application of FBPs in the regulation of gut hormones secretion.
