Submission Tutorial for Authors
1. Registration
Click Author Login in the Author section, and fill in your personal information. After submitting your personal information, you will receive an email indicating that you have registered successfully. Please follow the instructions in the email to activate and log in your account.
2. Submission
Log in as theauthor on the home page of the website, enter your email and password to visit the submission page. Fill in and submit all the required submission information as instructed on the page. Upon successful submission, the paper status will become 'Receipt Sent'. To facilitate contact, we recommend that the submitting author is the corresponding author of the paper.
3. Checking of Paper Status
Log in the system, and visit the Paper Query section. Generally, a response will be given within two months after the paper is submitted. If you do not receive any response beyond this period, please consult with the Editorial Office.
4. Paper Revision
You can modify the basic information of your paper in the Submission section at any time before it is submitted. Once the paper is successfully submitted, no modification is allowed.

Requirements and Tips for Submissions:
1. Basic Requirements
Multiple submissions and identical papers are unacceptable to Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology. The submitting paper should be advanced, scientific, accurate and practical. It should include authentic contents, reliable data, clear arguments, a rigorous structure, and concise language. Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology will compare all the submitted papers for text replicate. If the replicated text accounts for more than 15% of the whole text, the paper will be rejected.
2. Submission Method
Visit http://zgspxb.cnjournals.org/ch/index.aspx to enter the collecting and editing platform of Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, and click 'Author Login' to enter the submission interface. Authors who submit a paper for the first time are required to register. Note: Please delete all the author and organization information in English and Chinese in your paper when you submit it (such information will be added before publication); otherwise, the submission will be considered invalid. After the paper is submitted, the system will automatically generate a number for the submitted paper, and the author can check the paper status on the collecting and editing platform. Generally, a response will be given by Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology within two months from the date when a paper is submitted according to the requirements above. If you do not receive any response beyond this period, please consult with the Editorial Office.
3. Matters Relating to Publication
Once the submitted paper is accepted after review, the author will be notified by email to pay the review and publication charges within the specified time limit.
After the submitted paper is published, the author will be paid a remuneration, and a copy of the current issue of the journal will be given to the first author and the corresponding author.
4. Paper Writing Requirements
1) Paper Structure: Title, authors’ names (limited to 6), authors’ organizations, abstract, key words (3-5), body (all of which are in Chinese), and references; title, authors’ names, authors’ organizations, abstract, and keywords in English (all of which are in English). The following information should be indicated in the footnote at the bottom left of the first page of the paper: ① the first author’s profile (name, gender, educational degree, and professional title); ② Name and number of the funded project (at provincial and ministerial levels) if the paper is part of it; ③ the corresponding author and his or her e-mail.
2) Word Count: Generally around 7,000 words for a research paper; the abstract should include 4 parts: purpose, methods, results, and conclusions; review papers should be no less than 8,000 words and no more than 15,000 words, with an informative abstract. The Chinese abstract should be 400-500 characters, and the English abstract should be consistent with the Chinese abstract and can be slightly more detailed (please refer to the 'Download' section for detailed English and Chinese abstract writing specifications).
3) Figure Requirements: The names of figures and tables in the text should be in both Chinese and English, and the titles of horizontal and vertical axes in the figures should be in both Chinese and English. The figures should be produced with computer software, and any photo to be published must be clear and complete (600dpi) and appear with the text.
4) Formatting Requirements: The paper should be written in accordance with the style of a research report, with the font and font size in the text meeting the national standards and relevant regulations.
5) The academic terms, names, jargon, and names and symbols of measurement units used in the paper should meet the national standards and relevant regulations.
6) References: The citations should appear, in square brackets, in the upper right corners of the appropriate positions in the text, following an order marked by numbers. Only official publications should be cited in the references, and no internal materials should be included. References: Generally, about 35 references are needed for a research paper; not less than 50 references are needed for a review paper. For both research and review papers, references published in the most recent 5 years should account for at least 40% of the total references, and foreign references should account for at least 25%. Please refer to the reference requirements for formatting details. Note: All Chinese references should be changed to Chinese and English versions (with the Chinese version coming before the English version).
5. Copyright
According to the relevant provisions of the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China, the author should take sole responsibility for the paper submitted. Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology reserves the right to modify the text of the submitted paper as it deems appropriate. Any modification to the original intent will be made with the consent of the author, and if necessary and subject to the reviewer’s comments, the submitted paper may be returned to the author for revisions.After the paper is published, the author should agree to transfer the reproduction, distribution, information network dissemination, compilation, and translation rights of the paper to Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, and the remuneration paid by Journal of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology to the author covers the payments related to the rights mentioned above. If the author refuses to accept the preceding paragraph, please declare it at the time of submission; failure in making such a declaration will be deemed as consent.
